Who is Sandi Miller?
Sandi's leadership expertise has been centered on education and amateur sports.She has over 30 years of experience as a high school, community college, and
university leader. She has provided guidance for student service organizations
and currently serves on a national committee for school – college relations which
she has previously chaired. She has been a presenter and facilitator of numerous
presentations at several local and national conferences for educational professionals.
Her sports leadership background includes having been the Illinois State Director and Regional Board Member for the United States Gymnastic Federation (now USA Gymnastics). Sandi was responsible for the women’s competitive gymnastic program in Illinois which involved thousands of gymnasts and 60 gymnastic programs. She has been the meet director for several state and regional women’s gymnastic events. She was also a member of the USA Gymnastics National Board for Rhythmic Gymnastics – a board that guides USA Gymnastics national and international competitive programs. She has coached winning private club, junior high and high school gymnastics teams, has judged college and elite level women gymnasts, and worked with several Olympians.
Sandi is committed to the concept of giving back to the community in which she lives and works. She volunteers at a local food pantry, animal shelter, and theatre and serves as a mentor for high school students who want to get involved in area service projects.
Sandi received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from Southeast Missouri State University and a Masters of Science Degree, with additional doctoral studies, in Management from Colorado Technical University.
Describing herself as playful, productive, and positive she is not afraid of new situations and challenges. Sandi enjoys spending her leisure time with her husband, her Pembroke Welsh Corgis (think current queen of England’s short legged, long bodied, tailless dogs) and traveling whenever her busy schedule permits.
